The French government is planning to distribute a 20-page “survival guide” to help citizens be prepared for emergencies. According to a report based on statements from French Prime Minister François Bayrou’s spokesperson on CNN International, the government announced its plan to distribute a “survival guide” to prepare citizens for emergencies requiring security measures, such as natural disasters, pandemics, and armed conflicts. Bayrou’s spokesperson stated that the government is preparing to distribute a guide to every household in France to be prepared for “imminent threats.” The spokesperson mentioned that the threats requiring preparedness include natural disasters, technological and cyber incidents, health crises like COVID-19, and security crises like terrorist attacks and armed conflicts. The spokesperson also mentioned that if the 20-page guide is approved by Prime Minister Bayrou, it will be distributed before summer. Similar guide distribution programs have been implemented in Finland and Sweden.
