Allegation in Israeli Press: Turkey to Establish 3 Military Bases in Syria

A claim regarding Turkey has surfaced in the Israeli press. Reports suggest that Turkey is planning to establish three military bases in Syria, prompting the Tel Aviv administration to seek US intervention to prevent their construction.

According to a report in the Israel Hayom newspaper, Israel has requested assurances from the US regarding Turkey’s activities in Syria. It was alleged that Turkey is preparing to set up three military bases in Syria.

The Tel Aviv administration reportedly urged the US to convey reassuring messages to prevent Turkey from establishing military bases in Syria and adopting an anti-Israel policy.

Reports in the news also included allegations that Israel is preparing for the time when the Turkish military will have a direct presence in Syria following the fall of the Ba’ath regime. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s remarks were cited, reminding that those who expect to benefit from the instability in Syria by stirring up ethnic and religious affinities will not reach their goals.
