American-Israeli captive soldier: Trump victim of Netanyahu’s lies

In Gaza, American-Israeli captive soldier Edan Alexander, held by Hamas’ military wing, the Izzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, noted that he was a victim of Netanyahu’s lies repeated by U.S. President Donald Trump. In a video released by the Qassam Brigades, Alexander stated that he has been a captive in Gaza for 551 days and expressed that he has both psychologically and physically collapsed. Expressing his frustration with Netanyahu who he likened to a dictator taking control of the state every day, Alexander rebelled saying, “I heard three weeks ago that Hamas was ready to release me, and you refused and left me here. Why am I here instead of with my family? Why am I making a second video today.” Addressing Trump in the video, the captive soldier said, “President Trump, I believed you would get me out of here alive. Why did you become a victim of Netanyahu’s lies? I have nightmares at night. Every day, I hear my mother, father, and brother’s voices. Why? Why am I not in the U.S., why am I not with my family?” Alexander explained in the video that he came to Israel to serve in the Golani Brigade, and that he was alone at his duty station on October 7. Urging Israelis to continue protests and do everything to get them out, Alexander expressed, “Our time is really running out. Every day, I feel the bombardment getting closer. This is truly a very difficult situation. We are losing hope. We think we will return home dead.”
