Anticipating a New Record in Tourism

Early reservations from abroad have seen a 20% increase in Turkish tourism. Experts have stated that this is an indicator that new records will be broken in the tourism sector.
The early booking period, allowing vacationers to have holidays at their desired facility for a more affordable price in the summer months, continues. Despite Germany and Russia being the most important markets, Deputy Chairman of the Turkey Hoteliers Federation Mehmet İşler emphasized that Turkey has become a country that garners a share from all around the world in tourism. İşler noted that Turkey aims to increase its daily revenue per tourist to the range of 120-130 dollars. “Currently, there is a 15-20% increase in early bookings nationwide compared to the same month last year. We anticipate that this booking flow will increase even more. This is a gratifying development. In the Aegean Region, we see this rate around 10%. We began with this range in 2024.”
Starting the tourism sector in 2025 this way, particularly with news of the increase from Germany, has made the sector extremely happy and excited. We already foresee that 2025 will be a record year in Turkish tourism, just like every year.” THE IMPACT OF TURKEY’S SUCCESS IN FOREIGN POLICY Indicating that tourists appreciate tranquility, İşler said, “One of the most important things leading to the breaking of records is the peaceful atmosphere surrounding our country, Turkey’s effective management of foreign policy, and, most importantly, being a safe, peaceful, and harmonious country.” İşler added, “Turkish tourism is not just about sun, sea, and sand, but also creating legends in health tourism, plateau tourism, culture, and gastronomy. Our goal in 2030 is to achieve an economic input of 100 billion dollars and attract 100 million tourists. It seems like our country will reach this target in 2028.”
