Approaching the End of $3.5 Billion Investment

Anthropic, an artificial intelligence company, is nearing the end of a $3.5 billion investment round. Following this funding round, the company’s value is expected to rise to $61.5. Supported by Google and Amazon, the artificial intelligence venture Anthropic is close to concluding its latest funding round. The company aims to secure $3.5 billion from investors after discussions. Consequently, its valuation is set to reach $61.5 following the funding round. According to the Wall Street Journal report, Anthropic initially aimed to raise $2 billion in the investment round, but managed to increase the amount during discussions. Investors expected to participate in the company include Lightspeed Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, General Catalyst, and MGX from Abu Dhabi. Established in 2021 by former OpenAI employees, Anthropic stands out among notable artificial intelligence companies by enhancing large language models. Anthropic, which is considered the main rival of OpenAI, recently released a new artificial intelligence model called Claude 3.7 Sonnet. This new model includes a feature where users can take time to think and respond to questions within their chosen timeframe. Meanwhile, Anthropic’s competitors continue their research and development. Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI is reportedly in discussions for a $10 billion investment round, while OpenAI is expecting a $40 billion investment.
