Armed Attacks on Turkish Market Chain Branches in Berlin

In the German capital of Berlin, armed attacks were carried out on two branches of a Turkish market chain.

The attack in the market located in the Spandau district involved one or more armed individuals shooting at the entrance doors of the market before fleeing the scene. The attack took place after the market closed at 8:00 PM local time yesterday, and fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.

Approximately half an hour after the first attack, another branch of the market chain in the Wilmersdorf district was targeted. The attacker or attackers fired at least 3 shots at the market windows. Although no injuries or fatalities occurred during the attack, both incidents resulted in material damage.

Police detained a 23-year-old suspect in Spandau and seized a vehicle believed to be connected to the incident. While an official explanation for the motive behind the armed attacks has not been released, the police have initiated investigations into both occurrences.
