Attack on Train in Pakistan: 450 Passengers Taken Hostage

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), who claimed responsibility for the attack, stated that they had taken hostages from the train, including security forces. Following the incident, security forces moved to the Mushqaf area in the Bolan region of Balochistan. Government spokesperson Shahid Rind stated that the Balochistan government had taken emergency measures and all relevant agencies were mobilized to bring the situation under control. Militant groups in Balochistan have been rebelling against the government and army for years, launching attacks targeting China’s economic interests in the region. The Baloch Liberation Army is the largest ethnic rebel group demanding independence for Balochistan.
