Avian Influenza Alert in the UK: H5N1 Confirmed in a Cove

The UK government has confirmed the presence of avian influenza (H5N1) virus in a cove, according to a report by Reuters.
WHAT IS INFLUENZA (H5N1)?
Influenza is a contagious viral disease that primarily affects the nose, throat, bronchi, and sometimes the lungs, with a mild to severe course. There are three types of influenza virus: A, B, and C.
WAYS OF SPREADING INFLUENZA
Influenza spreads through infected particles released into the air by coughs and sneezes of sick individuals, which healthy people can inhale. It can also spread through contaminated hands. It easily passes from person to person in crowded environments and causes annual outbreaks in temperate regions during winter.
