Bus accident in Bolivia: 37 dead, 39 injured

In Bolivia, 37 people lost their lives and 39 were injured as a result of a collision between two passenger buses. The incident occurred approximately 5 kilometers away from Uyuni city in Bolivia, with one of the buses reported to be heading to Oruro city, where the Oruro Carnival, one of Latin America’s largest festivals, takes place.
According to a statement from the Bolivian Ministry of Government, initial investigations suggest that one of the buses crossed into the opposite lane due to excessive speed, causing the accident. At the scene of the incident, a crane was seen overturning one of the buses, while police officers were observed removing bodies from the overturned buses and carrying them wrapped in blankets. It was noted that one of the buses was en route to Oruro city, where the Oruro Carnival, one of Latin America’s largest festivals, is held.
