Ramadan Bayram coincided with the mid-term break for schools this year. This situation increased the demand for bus tickets. Industry officials are expecting 3.5 million people to travel by bus.

Mustafa Yıldırım, President of the All Bus Operators Federation, stated that the bus services will start to get busier starting from March 27 due to the mid-term break of schools coinciding with Ramadan Bayram. Yıldırım said, “During the Ramadan Bayram holiday, approximately 8,500 buses will transport passengers daily. We expect around 3.5 million people to travel by buses.” Mustafa Yıldırım, who also serves as the Chairman of the TOBB Highway Passenger Transport Sector Council, provided information about bus services. Pointing out that this year’s 2024-2025 academic year mid-term break coincides with Ramadan Bayram, covering a period of 9 days, Yıldırım stated, “Starting from the middle of this week, there will be a peak in bus services due to the Ramadan Bayram holiday. Tickets are almost running out for normal services.

The movement in buses starting on March 27 due to the Ramadan Bayram holiday will be followed by a return movement on April 6-7.

In case of demand from bus companies, we will apply to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure to use tourism vehicles for passenger transport.”
