In Bolivia, 31 people lost their lives when a bus collided with a truck and plunged into a ravine. The truck driver has reportedly been arrested. On Saturday morning, at least 37 people had died as a result of a collision between two buses in the same region. In Bolivia’s south, at least 31 people lost their lives due to a collision between a truck and a bus.
Authorities stated that after the collision on Monday on the highway between Oruro and the mountainous mining city of Potosi in the Bolivian Altiplano, the bus fell approximately 500 meters into the ravine. While the truck driver has been arrested, the cause of the accident is under investigation.
Police spokesperson Limbert Choque mentioned that 22 people were also injured. Bolivian President Luis Arce expressed his condolences for the victims on social media.
In a message shared on Facebook, Arce stated, “This unfortunate event must be investigated to determine those responsible.” On Saturday morning, at least 37 people had died as a result of a collision between two buses in the same region.
