Canada has lodged a complaint against the United States to the World Trade Organization (WTO). The complaint was filed due to the customs duties imposed by the American government on steel and aluminum products.

In a statement from the World Trade Organization (WTO), it was reported that Canada has requested dispute consultations with the US regarding the tariffs on steel and aluminum products originating from Canada.

The request was communicated to WTO members on March 13, with Canada arguing that the tariffs are inconsistent with the obligations of the US under the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade.
