Central Bank MPC (Monetary Policy Committee) meeting when? April meeting date

Economists point out that the messages the Central Bank will send to the markets will be closely monitored. So, when is the Central Bank MPC (Monetary Policy Committee) meeting? Eyes are on the interest rate decision in the domestic market. The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) announced its meeting plan for the year 2025. Unlike previous years, this year the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) will convene a total of 8 times instead of 12. Additionally, the bank plans to publish 8 MPC meeting summaries, 4 inflation reports, and 2 financial stability reports within the scope of the year 2025. According to the schedule set for the year 2025, the Central Bank’s third meeting will be held on April 17, and no meeting will be held in May. Decisions taken after the MPC meeting will be announced to the public at 14:00 on the same day. In March, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) reduced the policy rate from 45% to 42.5% by 250 basis points. The policy rate refers to the one-week repo auction interest rate. The statement indicated that a tight monetary policy will continue to ensure inflation expectations and price stability. The MPC will hold its summer meetings between June 19 and July 24. There will be no meeting in August. After meetings on September 11 and October 23, there will be no meeting in November. The last meeting of the year will also be held on December 11, 2025.
