Central Bank Reserves Decreased

The reserves of the Central Bank decreased by $4.578 billion to $165.4 billion in the week of 28th February. The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) announced its weekly money and banking statistics. As of 28th February, the CBRT’s gross foreign exchange reserves decreased by $2.941 billion to $94.757 billion. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at $97.698 billion on 21st February. During this period, gold reserves also decreased by $1.638 billion from $72.297 billion to $70.659 billion. Therefore, the total reserves of the Central Bank decreased from $169.995 billion to $165.417 billion in the week of 28th February, a decrease of $4.578 billion compared to the previous week.
