Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz emphasized the continuation of the economic program’s implementation with determination and coordination, stating that the foundations of our economy are strong. Despite earthquake expenses, our current account deficit is low, budget deficit is under control, Central Bank reserves are at satisfactory levels, and our banking system remains sound. We are experiencing balanced growth with increasing employment, maintaining a single-digit unemployment rate for a long time. Inflation, which we see as a top priority, is showing a downward trend. While contributing to peace and stability with effective diplomacy in our region, we are strengthening tranquility and confidence in our country with the goal of a Terror-Free Turkey. Our relevant institutions closely monitor the markets and current developments, taking necessary steps accordingly.
