A tragic accident occurred near the Nurdağı intersection of the Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantep (TAG) Highway. The highway turned into a war zone as a passenger bus, a truck, and a car collided. One person lost their life in the accident, and 19 others were injured. The Gaziantep-bound section of the highway was closed for some time due to the accident. A chain traffic accident involving a passenger bus, a truck, and a car took place near the Nurdağı intersection of the Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantep (TAG) Highway. Following the accident, the truck and car caught fire. Police, gendarmerie, health, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The fire was extinguished after about an hour of work by the teams. The 20 injured individuals in the accident were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulances. Veysel Feyda (37), the bus attendant who was referred to the Nurdağı State Hospital, could not be saved despite the intervention. Nurdağı District Governor Nurullah Cemil Erciyas arrived at the scene to receive information from officials.

Due to the chain accident causing a deadly scene and subsequent fires in 2 vehicles, the Gaziantep-bound section of the TAG Highway was closed to traffic for 2 hours.

As a long line of vehicles formed on the road, security personnel directed drivers to alternative routes.

After the intervention of the fire brigade, the vehicles were towed, and traffic flow returned to normal after the cleaning work was completed.

The police are continuing the investigation into the accident.
