Minister Göktaş made a statement regarding the childbirth assistance applications implemented with the approval of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to declare 2025 as the “Year of the Family.” Reminding that the regulation including childbirth assistance to be provided to families from the first child was passed by the Turkish Grand National Assembly on March 27th, Göktaş stated, “Starting today, we will start to receive childbirth assistance applications through the e-Government portal, as announced by our President in our Family Year Promotion Program. Applications will primarily be received through the e-Government portal, but citizens who cannot apply via e-Government can receive support regarding the application from our Provincial Directorates of Family and Social Services.”

Applications have started to be received through the e-Government portal as of April 8, 2025. Application Steps: 1- Go to the Ministry of Family and Social Services’ e-Government Childbirth Assistance Application Page. 2- Log in with your identity information. 3- Fill in the required information and complete your application. Note: Citizens without digital access can receive support from the Provincial Directorates of Family and Social Services.

CLICK FOR CHILDBIRTH ASSISTANCE APPLICATION Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş stated that they will start making support payments to mothers immediately after the evaluation process of the applications made within the scope of childbirth assistance implemented in the Year of the Family. Emphasizing that this support will continue until the child reaches the age of 5, Göktaş said, “We will start making payments to mothers’ accounts immediately after the evaluation process.”

Information about childbirth assistance applications and current support amounts for 2025 are as follows: For the first child: A one-time payment of 5,000 TL will be made. For the second child: A monthly payment of 1,500 TL will be made for 60 months (5 years). For the third child and subsequent children: A monthly payment of 5,000 TL will be made for 60 months. Göktaş stressed that the childbirth assistance will be provided without any specific criteria: “Our families who have children as of January 1, 2025, will benefit from these benefits. Accordingly, our one-time childbirth assistance of 5,000 liras for the first child born on January 1, 2025, our monthly support of 1,500 liras for the second child, and our monthly support of 5,000 liras for the third child and subsequent children will be deposited into the accounts of our mothers. These supports will continue until our children reach the age of 5.”
