China’s Foreign Exchange Reserves Increased

China’s foreign exchange reserves reached $3.23 trillion in February. The State Administration of Foreign Exchange of China released the data for February 2025 period. According to the report, the country’s foreign exchange reserves saw an increase of $18.2 billion compared to the previous month by the end of February. The total value of reserves, showing a 0.57% increase from January, reached $3.23 trillion. The statement highlighted that the US dollar index dropped in February, while global financial asset prices varied, attributing the increase in foreign exchange reserves to the combined effect of exchange transactions and changes in asset prices. China’s foreign exchange reserves have been above $3.2 trillion for 15 months.
