Citizen’s inflation expectations slightly increased

The citizen’s inflation expectations rose to 59.3 percent in March. The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey published the Sectoral Inflation Expectations Report. According to the report, the annual inflation expectation for the next 12 months was 41.1 percent for the real sector. The statement said: “In March 2025, the 12-month ahead annual inflation expectations decreased by 0.7 points to 24.6 percent for market participants, decreased by 0.8 points to 41.1 percent for the real sector, and increased by 0.1 points to 59.3 percent for households compared to the previous month. The percentage of households expecting inflation to decrease in the next 12 months increased by 3.0 points to 31.3 percent compared to the previous month.”
