Allegations that the appointed management in Şişli decided to close Kent Restaurants have been denied. The municipality announced that the three restaurants would reopen after their needs are met. A statement was made regarding the claim “The appointed management in Şişli Municipality decided to close Kent Restaurants” that appeared in some press outlets. The statement from the Disinformation Combat Center (DCC) used the following phrases: “There is no decision taken by Şişli District Governor and Acting Mayor Cevdet Ertürkmen to do so. All municipality activities in Şişli, including Kent Restaurants, continue to operate within the framework of considering the public interest. Do not believe baseless allegations aimed at manipulating public opinion.”

In the statement, it was mentioned that the three Kent restaurants in Şişli will continue to serve after their supply needs are met. The statement from the municipality included the following statements: “There is absolutely no instruction from Şişli Acting Mayor Cevdet Ertürkmen regarding the closure of Kent restaurants in Şişli. There are a total of three Kent restaurants in Şişli, two of them fixed and one mobile. These Kent restaurants were closed as of March 19 because their supply processes were completed. Şişli Acting Mayor Cevdet Ertürkmen, when he took office on March 24, instructed the reopening of Kent restaurants. After the supply needs of all three Kent restaurants are met, they will continue to serve the residents of Şişli. There are plans to increase the number of Kent restaurants in the medium term. We kindly ask our people not to believe in the sensationalism claiming that Kent restaurants have been closed.”
