CNN: Trump Could Visit Turkey During Middle East Tour

According to a report on the Arabic page of American CNN, citing White House sources, it was mentioned that President Donald Trump might visit Turkey next month, although the final decision has not been made. The channel based its news on a White House official and two other sources familiar with the matter, stating, “After his visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates next month, Trump is considering adding Turkey to his Middle East tour.” One of the officials who spoke to CNN claimed that this visit was discussed during one of the recent phone calls between Trump and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The report also noted that, at the moment, Trump is not considering including Israel in his Middle East tour schedule.

HAKAN FIDAN: IT COULD BE IN TURKEY OR THE US
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also addressed the possible visit of President Erdoğan to the US during a CNN Turk broadcast yesterday, saying, “Preparations are underway, and it’s a matter where the leaders have now expressed their will. We are currently discussing when and where this will take place.” When asked if it could be in Turkey or the US, both Trump and Erdoğan could be involved, Fidan responded, “It could be both.”
