Collision in English Channel! Cargo ship sunk, oil tanker caught fire

A ship reportedly sank after colliding with an oil tanker off the northeast coast of England. A fire broke out on the tanker. All 37 crew members on both ships were rescued safely.
The UK coast guard received reports of a collision between a tanker and a cargo ship.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency announced that a ship had sunk off the northeast coast of England. The statement mentioned, “Lifeboats from Skegness, Bridlington, Maplethorpe, and Cleethorpes, an HM Coastguard fixed-wing aircraft, nearby vessels with firefighting capabilities, as well as a Coastguard Rescue Helicopter from Humberside have been called out. The incident is still ongoing.” The alarm was raised at 09:48 in the morning. BBC reported that the oil tanker involved in the collision caught fire.
All 37 crew members on both ships were rescued safely. Authorities confirmed that one crew member is under medical care.
The Coastguard stated that they are evaluating the pollution response that may be needed after the collision.
