The Maritime and Coastguard Agency stated that a ship sank off the northeast coast of England. In a statement, it was mentioned that “lifeboats from Skegness, Bridlington, Maplethorpe, and Cleethorpes, an HM Coastguard fixed-wing aircraft, nearby vessels with firefighting capabilities, and a Coastguard Rescue Helicopter from Humberside were called to the scene. The incident is still ongoing.” The alarm regarding the incident was raised at 09:48 in the morning. The BBC reported that the oil tanker involved in the collision caught fire.
