Commuting by Plane Every Day to Work: Cheaper Than Paying Rent

Racheal Kaur, who lives in Malaysia, mentions that she uses a plane to commute to work every day, improving her work-life balance. Kaur flies between Penang and Kuala Lumpur for a 40-minute flight each day of the workweek and expresses satisfaction with this arrangement. Kaur explains that she has the opportunity to spend time with her children by commuting to work by plane. She wakes up around 4:00 in the morning and leaves home at 5:00 to catch her flight. Boarding the plane at 5:55, Kaur arrives at the office every morning at 7:45. Kaur mentions that she covers the ticket expenses herself and claims that the cost of commuting to work by plane is cheaper than renting an apartment in Kuala Lumpur. Racheal Kaur is not the only one who commutes to work by plane. Last year, a woman revealed that she was taking regular flights between Minneapolis and Manhattan due to her husband’s job. High living costs in many parts of the world can push employees to make such crazy decisions, especially in U.S. states.
