Competition Probe in Technology Stores

The Competition Board has initiated a competition probe into some technology retailers, including Teknosa. The investigation aims to determine whether there has been a violation of Article 4 of Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition, which pertains to directly or indirectly obstructing, distorting, or restricting competition in a specific goods or services market. Teknosa has announced through the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that the investigation decision has been conveyed to the company. The announcement emphasized that the initiation of the Competition Authority’s investigation does not necessarily mean that the relevant companies have violated the law or will face penalties. Updates on the process will be shared with the public within the framework of Capital Market Legislation. Additionally, yesterday, an investigation was launched into retail companies including BİM, Migros, Şok Marketler, and Carrefoursa.
