Condemnation of Attack on Security Forces in Syria by Six Countries

Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, and Jordan have condemned the attacks on security forces in Syria, which claimed the lives of more than 70 people.

The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a written statement regarding the events in Syria.

The statement emphasized the condemnation of crimes committed by illegal groups in Syria and targeting security forces. It was also highlighted that Saudi Arabia stands by the efforts of the Syrian government to maintain security, stability, and internal peace. Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned the crimes committed by illegal groups in Syria and their targeting of security forces and state institutions, expressing strong disapproval and rejection.

The statement conveyed Kuwait’s support for all efforts and measures taken by the Syrian government to safeguard national security and stability. The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs also strongly denounced and rejected the crimes committed by illegal groups in Syria, as well as their attempts to disrupt security and internal peace. The Ministry reiterated its solidarity with the Syrian government in protecting the country’s security, stability, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, and supporting the Syrian people in their aspirations for peaceful coexistence, development, and sustainable prosperity. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed concerns over the conflicts in Latakia province in Syria, which have resulted in numerous casualties and injuries.

The statement highlighted Egypt’s support for the Syrian state, institutions, and stability in the face of security threats, while rejecting any actions that may jeopardize the safety, security, and stability of the Syrian people. The importance of combating all forms of violence was emphasized in the statement, stressing the need to prioritize Syria’s national interests and work towards overcoming the sensitive transitional period in Syria. The Ministry also emphasized the necessity of initiating a comprehensive political transition process that ensures the inclusive participation of all segments of the Syrian population and safeguards the rights of all denominations in Syria. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan underscored its support for Syria’s security, stability, unity, and sovereignty. The Ministry’s statement condemned efforts aimed at undermining the country’s security and peace, as well as all groups, initiatives, and external interventions that target Syria’s security, peace, and security institutions.
