The economic confidence index declined by 0.5 percent on a monthly basis to reach a value of 99.2 in February. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) released the economic confidence index data for the month of February. According to the data, the index decreased by 0.5 percent from 99.7 in January to 99.2 in February. The consumer confidence index reached 82.1 in February with a monthly increase of 1.4 percent. Meanwhile, the real sector confidence index increased by 0.2 percent to reach 102.8 during the same period. The service sector confidence index, on the other hand, decreased by 1.9 percent to 114.2. The retail trade sector confidence index increased by 1.6 percent to 116.3, while the construction sector confidence index decreased by 2.7 percent to 89.3.
