Connection with far-right extremists revealed for suspect who plowed into crowd in Germany

It has been revealed that Alexander Scheuermann, who drove his car into a crowd in Germany causing the death of 2 individuals, is connected to far-right circles. The incident took place in Mannheim, Germany, where a vehicle plowed into a crowd resulting in the death of 2 people and causing injuries to 5 critically and 11 others. Following the incident, Alexander Scheuermann was apprehended and taken into custody. It is claimed that the suspect has connections with far-right circles in the past. An investigation group named Exif has uncovered that Alexander Scheuermann was a member of a far-right weapon network called “Ring Bund,” with his name listed as associated with the group in a list created by a member of this network, Bernd Zimmermann, in 2018. Authorities have highlighted that the incident in Mannheim is not being considered as a politically motivated crime currently, despite the astonishing fact that the political dimension of the crime is not the focus of the investigation at the moment. Emphasizing that overlooking the possibility of the incident being politically motivated would be a disaster, demands have been made to investigate the political aspect of the incident due to the suspect’s alleged membership in the far-right “Ring Bund” group, regardless of whether he has a psychological condition and if his social media expressions appear contradictory. In the incident history in Mannheim, a black SUV vehicle speedily drove from Paradeplatz square towards the water tower, hitting people. The incident that occurred on March 3 resulted in the loss of life for an 83-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man, while 5 were critically injured and 11 others were wounded. Following the incident, the 40-year-old driver of the vehicle, Scheuermann, was taken into custody.
