The Istanbul Planning Agency (IPA) has released the results of the cost of living in February. According to the research, the cost of living in Istanbul increased by 54.47 percent compared to the same month last year.

The average cost of living for a family of four has risen to 85,453 liras. There was a 3.10 percent increase in the cost of living compared to the previous month. One of the most significant price increases in February was a 42.38 percent increase in baby food prices. Biscuit prices rose by 86.05 percent, toilet paper by 95.01 percent, and tomatoes by 50.25 percent.
