Critical Date for Retirement Holiday Bonus: How Much Will Retirement Holiday Bonuses be in 2025?

The bonuses that many beneficiaries, including SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Retirement Fund pensioners, receive will undergo a new study, as announced by the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan. There has been a new development regarding retirement bonuses. The holiday bonuses will be discussed in parliament on Monday. The retirement bonuses were last increased by 50% to 3,000 liras. This year, Ramadan Bayram will be celebrated on March 29th. Holiday bonuses for retirees are also received by many beneficiaries such as widows, orphan pension recipients, martyrs’ families, veterans, and champion athletes, in addition to SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Retirement Fund pensioners. A study on retirement holiday bonuses will be discussed on Monday (March 10th).
The bonuses are expected to increase to around 4,000 liras.
Following last year’s 50% increase, raising holiday bonuses to 3,000 liras, the amount of the raise for this year has not been announced yet. Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, had announced that studies were being conducted to increase the bonuses.
Last year, retirement holiday bonus payments started to be deposited into retirees’ accounts a week before the holiday. Payments in anticipation of the 2025 Ramadan Bayram are expected to be made in the week of March 24-28. The bonuses will be transferred to accounts through the banks from which retirees receive their salaries, based on the last digit of their allocation number.
