Cuba Plunged into Darkness: National Grid Failure

According to a statement by the Ministry of Energy and Mines in Cuba, the country has been plunged into darkness due to the collapse of the national grid.
The electricity shortage continues in Cuba.
As a result of the collapse of the national electricity grid, a significant part of the country has been engulfed in darkness.
The Ministry of Energy and Mines in Cuba stated that there was a fault at the Diezmero substation in the capital city of Havana around 8:15 PM local time.
It was reported that a power outage occurred in the western part of the Caribbean country, which has a population of 10 million, including the capital, and the national power system collapsed. Efforts to rectify the fault are ongoing.
Cuba’s electricity grid is almost entirely collapsed due to fuel shortages, natural disasters, and economic crises.
With a decrease in petroleum imports from Venezuela, Russia, and Mexico to power plants, a crisis occurred this year, and widespread power outages also occurred in November and December of last year.
