Cyprus Meeting in Geneva: Leaders of the TRNC and Greek Cypriot Administration to Participate

Once again, the city of Geneva in Switzerland will host an informal meeting in an expanded format on the Cyprus issue. Representatives from Cyprus Turkish and Greek Cypriot sides, as well as the guarantor countries Turkey, Greece, and the UK, will attend the meeting held under the auspices of the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on March 17 and 18.
Geneva in Switzerland will once again host an informal meeting in an expanded format on the Cyprus issue. Diplomatic sources noted that the meeting does not represent a continuation of past negotiation processes or the start of a new negotiation process. The meeting, chaired by United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, will be attended by President Ersin Tatar of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, President Nikos Christodoulides of the Greek Cypriot Administration, as well as the Foreign Ministers of Turkey and Greece.
Additionally, the UK’s Minister of State for Europe and North America, Stephen Doughty, will also be present at the meeting.
During the wide-ranging informal meeting, there will be an exchange of views on the upcoming period regarding the Cyprus issue.
