There has been a new development regarding the holiday bonus payments made to retirees before the Ramadan Festival. The date for the payment of the remaining fees for retirees has been clarified. The Social Security Institution (SGK) has announced when the remaining payments for the Ramadan Festival holiday bonus will be made to retirees. The current status of the 1000 TL retirement holiday bonus remaining payments continues to be questioned by millions of retirees. Retirees who received 3000 TL out of a 4000 TL holiday bonus are waiting for the payment of the remaining 1000 TL in holiday bonus. With the decision published in the Official Gazette, SGK will make remaining payments to 15.5 million people under the retirement holiday bonus. So, what is the current situation with the payments of the 1000 TL retirement holiday bonus remaining amounts? When will the 1000 TL bonus payment be made? In the statement made by SGK, it was stated, “We will start the payment of the remaining holiday bonus for our retirees and beneficiaries on April 3, 2025.” With the decision to raise the retirement holiday bonus from 3000 TL to 4000 TL published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the decision has come into effect as of today. In addition to the 3000 TL deposited into the accounts, it is expected that the schedule for the 1000 TL remaining payments by the Social Security Institution (SGK) will be determined. Since the proposal including the increase of the holiday bonus to 4000 TL did not pass in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, initially a payment of 3000 TL was made to retirees. Along with the schedule announced by SGK, the bonuses started to be paid on March 24 and were completed by March 28.
