Deadly Tornadoes Hit the US: Rising Death Toll

Violent storms paralyzed life in the US. Tornadoes that hit Texas and Missouri overnight left behind significant damage, with at least 17 people losing their lives. Cindy Barkley, a state official, reported that three people lost their lives in traffic accidents caused by a dust storm in the Amarillo area of Texas, with visibility almost reduced to zero. Missouri state officials also reported 11 fatalities in the Ozark region due to the storm. Officials sharing photos of the destruction caused by the storm mentioned that the extent of the devastation would be revealed as the day breaks. They also announced that three people lost their lives in the destruction caused by the storm in Arkansas. Adverse weather conditions in Oklahoma caused over 130 fires, leading to evacuation orders in some areas. Severe winds and dust storms caused trees and power lines to fall in many parts of the country, resulting in power outages. Emergency alerts were issued in Alabama, Kansas, and Missouri due to weather conditions and fire threats. Meteorological officials predict that the severe storm will continue over the weekend, with a hurricane expected to hit Mississippi and Alabama. Officials also issue warnings about flash floods.
