Death Sentence for Three Perpetrators of Rabbi’s Murder

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has sentenced three individuals to death for the murder of Rabbi Tzvi Kogan, an Israeli-Moldovan citizen found dead in Al Ain in 2024. In a case related to the murder of Rabbi Tzvi Kogan, an Israeli-Moldovan citizen who was found dead in Al Ain city of the country on November 24, 2024, the United Arab Emirates sentenced three perpetrators to death. The fourth defendant in the case was sentenced to life imprisonment.CAPTURED THROUGH MIT OPERATIONOperating a market in Dubai since 2020 and known as of the perpetrators of Rabbi Kogan found dead on November 24, 2024, it was determined that they had fled the country and the UAE government requested assistance from Turkey. The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) initiated an operation to capture the perpetrators of the rabbi’s death, and, when the individuals landed in Istanbul, law enforcement was alerted. The police officers who stopped the taxi the individuals got into for a traffic check apprehended three individuals with search records in the UAE after an identity check. Alimbay Tahiroviç, aged 28, Mahmudcan Abdurrahim, aged 28, and Azizbek Kamiloviç, aged 33 – who killed the rabbi were extradited to the UAE.EARLIER ACCUSATION BY FORMER ISRAELI POLITICIANFormer Israeli politician Ayoub Kara had claimed years ago that Iran was involved in the death of Tzvi Kogan, who had lived in the UAE, but Iran denied the allegations. A statement from the Iranian Embassy in Abu Dhabi stated, “We categorically reject the claim of interference in the murder of an Israeli rabbi in the UAE.”
