Decline in Foreign Currency Protected Deposits Continues

An unraveling of 50 billion liras has occurred in foreign currency protected deposit accounts. The total balance in the KKM has dropped to 910 billion liras. The decline in foreign currency protected Turkish Lira deposits and participation accounts persists. According to BDDK data, there was an outflow of 50 billion liras from foreign currency protected Turkish Lira deposits and participation accounts last week. The total KKM balance decreased from 966 billion liras to 916.6 billion liras in the week ending on February 14th.
