Decrease in the Number of Oil Drilling Rigs in the US

In the US, the number of oil drilling rigs decreased by 2 this week. Weekly data from oilfield services company Baker Hughes was published. Accordingly, the total number of oil drilling rigs in the country decreased by 2 to 486 between February 21-28 compared to the previous week. The number of oil drilling rigs in the US has decreased by 20 in the past year. Brent crude oil closed Thursday at $73.57 per barrel, while ending Friday at $72.81. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil ended Friday at $69.76 per barrel, after finishing Thursday at $70.35 per barrel.
