The company, in a post on X, stated that its online services had a cost profit margin of 545%. DeepSeek announced their computations with a higher efficiency and low latency approach. The analysis considered the usage of V3 and R1 models within a 24-hour period. It was calculated that if all usage were based on R1 pricing, DeepSeek’s daily revenue would be $562,027. The rental cost of these GPUs (graphics processing units) was reported to be $87,072. Hence, the company acknowledged that its revenue was significantly lower due to various campaigns, low pricing, and channels like web and app remaining free. On the other hand, some opinions pointed out that if the application were entirely paid and discounts were not offered, usage would be lower. It was suggested that these calculations were highly speculative.
