The inspections revealed that the number of products that have been tampered with and could endanger people’s lives and health has increased by 6 to 201. During inspections at “Muhtar Hanımın Yeri” in the Emirgazi district of Konya, pork was found in Adana kebabs and meatballs. In other inspections, drug active ingredients were found in herbal paste and energy drinks. The list of products confirmed to be counterfeit or adulterated has also been updated. The number of products that have been adulterated with a substance that does not carry the same value as the original substance has increased by 21 to 977. Inspections revealed foreign substances in spices, food coloring in tea, poultry meat in sausages, and offal in meatballs. The number of products where essential elements and nutritional values have been removed in violation of regulations has increased by 18 to 81.
