Charley Jayne Law, a 31-year-old living in the city of London in England, received a misdiagnosis. Doctors claimed that the symptoms she was experiencing were just irregular periods. However, it was later revealed that the young woman had cervical cancer. As her illness prevented her from taking care of her children, she had to place her three children with a foster family. Charley Jayne Law spent two months seeking treatment at hospitals in London due to severe bleeding and blood clots the size of a palm. However, all the doctors she visited failed to conduct a thorough examination and related her symptoms to her menstrual cycle. On January 27, 2025, she was diagnosed with stage four cervical cancer. Law, who said, “The news I received on January 27 shattered my world,” had to start treatment immediately due to the advanced stage of the illness. Struggling physically as the disease progressed and requiring hospitalization, Law stated that being separated from her children was the toughest decision for her. “My body was on the verge of giving up. Nevertheless, I was still trying to fulfill my motherly duties. But if I didn’t go to the hospital, I knew I wouldn’t be here the next day,” she said. Law is currently undergoing treatment. Although doctors say the disease is incurable, it was mentioned that certain treatment methods could alleviate the symptoms. Law, a mother of three, had her family launch a donation campaign to provide her with financial and emotional support. Law expressed her frustration at the events by saying, “I knew something was wrong. But doctors avoided even conducting simple examinations. If an early diagnosis had been made, maybe I wouldn’t be in this situation today.” Now, despite her illness, she is preparing to gather her strength and start treatment, hoping to spend more time with her family.
