While driving, a driver dragged a dog tied to the back of the car for meters. Responding to the criticism of the footage, law enforcement officers took the driver into custody.

In Burdur’s Bucak district, the driver of a car dragged a dog on the road by tying it to the back of the vehicle.

These moments were recorded by another passing driver with a cell phone camera.

DRIVER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

Following the strong reaction to the footage on social media, Bucak District Police Department took action. An examination revealed that the owner of the car was a 50-year-old individual named R.P. R.P. was taken into custody to give a statement.

CLAIMED TO HAVE NOTICED LATE

R.P. claimed in his statement at the police station that he put the dog in the car’s trunk tied with a rope, and while driving, the trunk opened causing the dog to fall out onto the road, which he noticed late.
