According to this, the number of unemployed individuals aged 15 and over decreased by 95 thousand people to 2 million 886 thousand in February compared to the previous month. The unemployment rate decreased by 0.2 points to 8.2 percent. The unemployment rate was estimated at 6.7 percent for men and 11 percent for women. EMPLOYMENT RATE FALLS The number of employed individuals decreased by 149 thousand people to 32 million 314 thousand in February compared to the previous month. The employment rate also decreased by 0.3 points to 48.8 percent. This rate was 66 percent for men and 31.9 percent for women. INCREASE IN YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT The unemployment rate in the youth population aged 15-24 increased by 0.1 points to 15 percent compared to the previous month. In this age group, the unemployment rate was estimated at 10.8 percent for men and 22.7 percent for women.
