Ongoing efforts are being made in Kars against drug traffickers. A person of Iranian nationality was apprehended for concealing drugs in a cigarette package. In Kars, a suspect of Iranian nationality who hid drugs in a cigarette package has been taken into custody. Operations continue to reveal the activities of suspects who “buy, accept, use, possess, produce, or trade drugs or stimulants” by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, aiming to protect young people from drug dealers. Coordinated by the Digor Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, gendarmerie teams stopped an Iranian-plated vehicle at the entrance of the town based on suspicion. During the body search of the Iranian national driver, a quantity of cannabis was found in a cigarette packet. The gendarmerie teams detained the driver.
