Economic Coordination Board convened

The Economic Coordination Board gathered in Giresun to discuss global trade developments. Measures to increase production and exports are also being considered. Chaired by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, the Economic Coordination Board (ECB) met in Giresun. The meeting took place at the Cotanak Conference Hall of the Directorate of Environment, Urbanism, and Climate Change. In attendance were Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, Presidency Strategy and Budget President İbrahim Şenel, Central Bank President Fatih Karahan, as well as some deputy ministers and representatives of relevant institutions. Discussions at the meeting will focus on measures to increase production, competitiveness, and exports in the industry, assessing the effects of changing global trade policies on foreign trade, labor market developments, and employment policies.
