Egyptian President Sisi Reacts to Trump’s Gaza Plan: Palestinians Should Not Be Displaced

The President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Sisi, expressed his disapproval of Trump’s plan to remove Palestinians from Gaza. Sisi stated that the reconstruction of Gaza should be done without displacing Palestinians.
A written statement from the Egyptian Presidential Office highlighted Sisi’s agreement with King Abdullah II of Jordan to work with the United States on a two-state solution for peace in the Middle East.
The statement emphasized the need for the reconstruction of Gaza to be carried out without displacing Palestinians.
President Donald Trump had previously claimed that “we will take over Gaza” and suggested that Jordan and Egypt could host Palestinians.
President Sisi, who was invited to Washington by Trump earlier this month, declared that he would not visit the White House if the discussion involved the displacement of Palestinians.
