Establishment of the National Technology Clubs Union Platform

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced the establishment of the National Technology Clubs Union Platform in cooperation with the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), stating that “Through this platform, student clubs will develop stronger projects, organize events, and create inspiring works.”
Minister Kacır stated in a social media post, “In our National Technology Initiative journey, we are taking another step to support the productivity of our youth. In order to strengthen the technology clubs at our universities, pave the way for innovative ideas, and provide support to our youth in a wide range from R&D to entrepreneurship, we are establishing the National Technology Clubs Union platform in cooperation with TÜBİTAK. Through this platform, student clubs will develop stronger projects, organize events, and create inspiring works. We continue to grow Turkey through science and technology.” The National Technology Clubs Union will operate under the umbrella of the TÜBİTAK Science and Society Directorate.
The platform was created to ensure that clubs have a more active presence in the technology and innovation ecosystem.
The goal is for the National Technology Clubs Union to serve as a common roof for student clubs operating in universities across Turkey.
Aiming to develop Turkey’s qualified human resources and encourage university students in this direction, the platform brings university students together on a common ground on the path to the goals of the National Technology Initiative.
