EU leaders gathered in Brussels: New defense plans on the table

The leaders of EU countries gathered in Brussels to discuss new defense plans and the situation in Ukraine.
The heads of state and government of the EU’s 27 member countries met in Brussels under the leadership of EU Council President Antonio Costa. They came together in the Belgian capital for the regular summit meeting to discuss topics such as increasing competitiveness, new plans for the continent’s security and defense, and continuing support for Ukraine.
After their assessment with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, the leaders will have an online meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
It was mentioned that United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will also participate in some sessions.
