Europe Unites to Stop Putin! British Army Ready to Go to Ukraine

In the midst of ongoing discussions about peace talks without Ukraine following the Trump-Putin meeting, an attention-grabbing statement has emerged from the United Kingdom. Prime Minister Starmer announced that British troops are ready to be sent to Ukraine. This marks the clearest statement made regarding the reinforcement of troops in Kiev after France. Starmer, stating that it is necessary to stop Russian leader Putin, used the phrase, “It’s not just the front line in Ukraine, it’s the front line for all of Europe.” The United States and Russia are set to meet in Saudi Arabia tomorrow, but Ukraine will not be present. Zelenski expressed, “Ukraine knew nothing about this.” Western leaders are urgently convening in Paris to discuss Europe’s role in ceasefire talks, which have excluded Europe. The latest updates on the Ukraine War crisis in Europe… (Report: Derya Doğan)Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, announced that as part of any post-war peacekeeping force, British troops are ready to be sent to Ukraine.
In an article in the Daily Telegraph, Starmer emphasized that he is not taking lightly the decision to put British soldiers and women in potential danger, but he stressed that ensuring lasting peace in Ukraine is necessary to deter Russian President Vladimir Putin from “further aggression.”
French President Emmanuel Macron had also stated in February of last year that “sending troops to Ukraine is not out of the question.”
It is expected that American and Russian officials will meet in Saudi Arabia tomorrow to begin talks aimed at ending the war that has been ongoing in Ukraine for about three years. Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenski stated, “We had no knowledge of this meeting,” and confirmed that they will not be participating.
So how is Europe responding to being excluded from these talks? U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio mentioned in a statement yesterday that Ukraine and Europe will be part of “real negotiations” to end the war. Rubio signaled that the talks with Russia this week will be a chance to see how serious Putin is about peace.
British Prime Minister Starmer expressed readiness to contribute to providing security guarantees to Ukraine by deploying their own forces, saying, “I am not saying this lightly.”Starmer, following French President Emmanuel Macron’s discussions on Ukraine, is expected to meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and other European leaders in Paris.
U.S. President Donald Trump had shocked NATO and European allies in a peace process by announcing that he had spoken to Putin on the phone without consultation, initiating a peace process.
In response, Trump’s Ukraine representative, Keith Kellogg, claimed that Ukraine and other European leaders have no place in peace talks.
Yesterday, Starmer made the following statement: “We are facing a generational moment for the security of our continent. This is not just about the future of Ukraine. It is an existential issue for the whole of Europe.”Starmer made another statement today, saying, “The peace desires of the U.S. are fully aligned with what we want.”
Stressing the need to increase defense spending, the Prime Minister added, “This is not just about the front line in Ukraine, it’s the front line for all of Europe. We need to take action across Europe. We must ensure that Ukraine is in the strongest position possible until a peace agreement is reached.”
The British Prime Minister is set to meet with Trump next week.Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated today that Europeans want to “prolong the war in Ukraine.”
SO WHAT DID EUROPEAN LEADERS SAY?

Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, expressed that the situation regarding peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine is still very fluid, stating that Europe has the right to sit at the negotiation table.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, a ally of Ukraine, also stated that Poland will not be sending troops to Ukraine.
Hungary, led by Prime Minister Viktor Orban, known for his closeness to both Trump and Putin, stated that today’s conference in Paris is an effort to “block” peace. Frank Peter Szijjarto, Hungary’s Foreign Minister, said, “Today in Paris, the war-mongering, anti-Trump, disappointed European leaders are coming together to block a peace agreement in Ukraine.”Germany’s government spokesperson, deputy Christiane Hoffmann, told journalists that it is “too early” to talk about sending troops to Ukraine. Chancellor Olaf Scholz mentioned in a recent statement that negotiations about Ukraine’s future cannot be successful without “European guarantees that we create and accept.”
Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares stated that Europeans need to come together to make decisions, but mentioned, “At the moment, no one is planning to send troops to Ukraine, especially since peace is still very far off.”
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot stated that securing any peace agreement in Ukraine falls to Europe and expected the U.S. to review its commitment to NATO, including geographically.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski announced that he will not participate in talks aimed at ending the war between the U.S. and Russia in Saudi Arabia.
“Ukraine will not participate. Ukraine had no knowledge of this. Ukraine sees negotiations about Ukraine without Ukraine as negotiations that will have no outcome, and we cannot recognize any agreement made about us without us,” said Zelenski.
Zelenski will visit Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.
