Extension of Payment Deadlines for Restructuring in Earthquake Regions

Taxpayers affected by earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş are granted an extension for the application and payment deadlines for restructuring in 4 provinces and 2 districts. The force majeure situation declared for taxpayers in Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, and Malatya, as well as the İslahiye and Nurdağı districts of Gaziantep, due to the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, was extended until May 31. According to the communique, the application and installment payment deadlines to benefit from the provisions of the “Law on Restructuring Some Receivables and Making Amendments in Some Laws” were arranged based on the date the force majeure situation ended. Therefore, taxpayers for whom the force majeure situation will end on May 31 are required to make applications to the relevant offices in these locations by September 1 due to August 31 being an official holiday, and make the upfront payment, including the first installment, by September 30. The second installment should be paid by October 31, and the subsequent installments in the following months are important. Provincial special administrations, municipalities, and investment monitoring and coordination presidencies, as well as all creditors, including all creditors in the 4 provinces and 2 districts, can be paid by applying to the offices in these locations within these deadlines.
