In a yoga class in Brazil, pets choose their owners. Cats and dogs waiting to be adopted wander around the yoga studio. While participants are doing yoga, they also search for their potential owners. They roam around, sniff, and even try to steal their belongings. Once they choose their owner, they stick by their side.

PARTING FROM THE CLASS WITH THEIR NEW HOUSEMATE Chosen yoga enthusiasts leave the class with their new housemate at the end of the class. Interacting with animals also serves as therapy for those not considering adoption. One participant mentioned that it was an experience beyond their expectations.

“PUPPIES ARE CHOOSING YOU IN CLASS” The creator of this unique experience stated, “I wanted to reach more people. I thought, why not have a yoga class with pets. It’s a delightful experience. Puppies and kittens choose you in class. We created pet yoga with yoga teacher Karen.” Organizer Bruna Tedeschi mentioned that pet yoga has been going on for a year.
